Your lymphatic system cleans your body (including the brain) of cellular waste. When it is functioning properly, it flows with a certain rhythm, cleaning up the garbage, while defending you against infection. When it is compromised… well, let us just start by saying, “Oh Oh!”
You know what happens when the garbage is not taken out… You know what happens when you cannot fight an infection– The inflammation this causes is the basis of most diseases. If it is not working properly, fluid can build up in your tissues. Lymphatic system problems can include infections, blockage, and cancer. Chronic inflammation is sometimes “silent,” without symptoms. However, very often a person may also feel tired and generally unwell.
A compromised immune system may seriously reduce one’s quality of life. When our immune system fails, it can have a variety of adverse consequences, including a compromised ability to defend us from infections.

Examples of these types of disorders include: rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue disease such as lupus, Sjogren’s syndrome, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, in addition to many poorly understood diseases including chronic fatigue syndrome.

Chronic stress may be responsible for as much as 90% of all doctor visits in the U. S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. When stress hormones like cortisol remain present for too long, they can cause disruptions that lead to premature aging, heart conditions, and other issues.
