Advanced Massage Therapy Techniques and Manual Therapy

Advanced Massage Techniques (often referred to as Manual therapy) are what people of all ages are turning to for pain, injury, disease, and the relief from the stress of daily life. These types of advanced, restorative massage techniques  are much more than a basic massage. They are often the answer to chronic and acute conditions, as well as to help maintain health and wellness. Our Licensed Massage Therapists have years of experience and training in treating patients with complicated medical conditions, such as cancer (an oncology massage therapist), Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) for swelling, and using massage to enhance general health. We understand the “Art Of Relaxation.”  and often combining the two or even three types of modalities, is exactly what the client needs.  At Hands On, we are entrusted with the health of another human being, and we take this obligation very seriously. We offer a diverse number of techniques and modalities.

We offer an economical Self-Pay Program for families and individuals without insurance or with insurance we do not accept. These are the prices on this site.

John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach - Manual Medical Therapy

Myofascial Release (MFR) Manual Therapy

Chronic Pain Relief at our MFR Treatment Center

JFB Myofascial Release techniques allow the facia to release and disengage from the

underlying tissue, which ins turn improves function. JB MFR is an advanced massage /manual therapy technique. Fascia is a densely woven covering, penetrating every muscle, bone, nerve, vein, artery as well as internal organs; it surrounds every cell in the body. When it loses its pliability due to trauma it hardens and compresses underlying tissues. The therapist’s responsibility is not to force change, but allow for subtle, yet very effective myofascial releases. It is a whole body approach, not a fragmented

approach, everything is connected and is treated as such.

Manual Lymph Drainage

MLD Therapy is an advanced therapeutic method that is intended to support and enhance the lymphatic system. Most lymphatic structures that the specialist targets, are directly under the

This treatment has relaxing, pain relieving and immunological effects. Although MLD Therapy is very comfortable and non-aggressive, it is highly specialized and cannot be compared to any other techniques a therapist has learned. The tactile input and required proficiency to perform it effectively is essential. Strategy‘s based on symptoms and palpable findings, lay the groundwork for success.
