Hence, our policy page helps ensure that all clients understand our policies, to prevent problems before they occur. Hands On Massage and Spa Services Policies
Appointments and Cancellation Policies
Advanced reservation for our service(s) is recommended. A major credit card is required to hold your reservation(s). If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled, changed or rescheduled in less than 24 hours will be billed 100% of each service
Arrival
We suggest you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. As a courtesy to other guests scheduled and following your appointments, late arrivals may only receive the remaining available appointment time. You are responsible for and will be charged the full service fee.
We reserve time especially for you. Unless you are completely sure that the appointment time and date work for you and yours, we cannot book the appointment, Cancellations and no shows affect us significantly. Therefore, we require 24 hours’ notice for all individual cancellations, 48 hours for 2 or more services booked and 48 hours on all Couple’s sessions, in order to avoid being charged the full price of the sessions. Rescheduling will not waive the fee. All “no shows” will be charged at full value. If possible, late arrivals will receive an extension of their scheduled appointment however, when this is not possible, full payment is still expected. Please assure your fully allotted time by arriving at the office 15 minutes early. Emergency’s do happen and often we will take that into account. However, proof will be required. In addition, any cancellations due to sickness will require a physician’s note. The physician cannot be yourself or family member. Thank you for co-operation and understanding.

Spa Party Cancellation
*Cancellation 2 weeks prior to the party date will be refunded completely except the $100 set-up fee.
*Cancellation less than 2 week prior to the party date will be charged 50% of full service.

Event Cancellations
In the event of inclement weather or states of emergency that pose a danger to clients, guests, or staff, the client may postpone the reserved event or service without penalty. Hands On will issue the client a credit for the amount of the unused amount of services to be used to RESCHEDULE your event or service(s) for the next available date within 6 months of your originally scheduled time. No refunds will be issued, and it is not redeemable for cash.

Gratuity
Gratuites are always welcome and truly appreciated. Should you wish to leave a gratuity, 18%-22% is customary, but you may of course leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. You may leave it at the reception desk when you pay your bill or give it directly to the therapist. Be assured your therapist will receive 100% of the gratuity. Please note that most gift certificates do not include a gratuity.
There is a required 20% gratuity for weekend couples.
Spa Parties Gratuities
For our guests’ convenience, we automatically add 30 cents per minute of your massage or facial session gratuity to your credit card when services are charged, so you will not have to be concerned with it on the day of your Spa Party. Guests will have the discretion to adjust these gratuities based upon the level of service received. This includes the option to adjust gratuities (up or down) for any reason. In order to do so, the guest will need to call the Director or Event Coordinator within 24 hours after the party.
Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates bought at discounted rates can be used for the service originally purchased or redeemed for a different service, however any discounts or coupons used lose their value. GC’s sold for “dollars worth of services” may only be used for regular priced sessions. We are not responsible for lost or stolen certificates. Gift certificates must be used to purchase goods and cannot be used toward additional gift certificates. Gift certificates cannot be returned for refund. If an order exceeds the amount of the recipient’s gift certificate, the difference must be paid with a credit card or other accepted payment method. We will honor some expired GC’s, however they will be honored at current, regular prices only and the difference in money will be expected to be paid by the receiver of the gift certificate.
Blackout dates
Please note we do have black out days that certain gift certificates can not be used, such as Valentine’s Day and Valentine’s Week. February 10th – February 18, 2024.
We only offer Valentines Day specials for couples. No single appts on February 13th and February 14th
Specific therapists are not guaranteed but we try our best to accommodate your needs.
Annual June One Day Sale and Pre-Black Friday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday Special Priced Relaxation Massage Gift Certificates
Please, keep in mind that these two sales are not advertised to the public. They are our way of saying “Thank you for your patronage.” We want to continue offering you these great rates, but we ask that you help keep our costs down by following the rules we have laid out. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
One Day Sale Certificates are CASH ONLY. We have significantly reduced these prices, therefore, if you must pay by credit card, there will be a $5.00 Service Fee for each Certificate. Pre-Black Friday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday may be paid for by credit card, but again, not paying processing fees helps keep our costs down which can be passed down to you!
The maximum amount of gift certificates per customer are 4 for yourself and 2 for others. One Day Sale Gift Certificates are NOT TRACKABLE. If lost or stolen, gift certificates are unable to be redeemed.
Expiration Dates
When used after the expiration date, certificates revert back to the original purchase price and may be used towards any regular priced session.
An individual can use up to six certificates at these special rates. If you have more than six, you can use the certificate at the price that was paid for it, and receive an additional $10 discount towards the REGULAR price of a massage or facial.
Spafinder,Spaweek, Spawish, Spa Emergency Certificates, Etc.
Gift Certificates or Gift Cards from outside vendors can only be used on regular priced relaxation services and are only accepted during the week. These certificates can not be used for Spa Parties or Off-site Events and are only accepted during the week.
Discounts
In May we offer a 20 percent one time discount off any session to Nurses and past or current military personnel . In October we offer a 20 percent one time discount off any session to any one 65+ years of age. These offers can not be combined with any other offers.
No-Fault Insurance
Our 24 hour cancellation and rescheduling policy also applies to our patients that use no-fault insurance for payment. Due to the fact that insurance does not cover cancelled, rescheduled or missed appointments, we do require that the client, not the insurance company, pay for any missed appointments, late arrivals or cancelled appointments.
No-fault patients must be seen by a variety of our therapists and weekend appointments may be limited. No-fault clients may not see the same therapist more than 1x per week. Each therapist brings a different expertise to the table. We have found that this is what works best.
In addition, clients must understand and agree that they will inform Hands On HealthCare Massage Therapy, P.C., immediately should they decide to seek the services of a Physical Therapist, Chiropractor or another Massage Therapist. Due to some insurance companies’ regulations, services for Massage Therapy may not be covered once you seek care from a Physical Therapist, Chiropractor or a different Massage Therapist, even for a different diagnosis and services. You will be responsible for any fees not covered by your insurance company.
Independent Medical Exam (IME)
Very often an Independent Medical Exam (IME) will be ordered from the insurance company. More often than not, benefits will be denied immediately following the IME. You must notify us of your IME and you will be responsible for any payments not made by your insurance company. Very often patients decide to put their therapy on hold once they have the IME and begin again once it has been approved by the insurance company.
Spa Party Policies
$200.00 deposit is required to reserve the date and time. The length of time for each session must be decided and the approximate number of guests must be given at this time. Each guest must leave a deposit of 50% within 1 week of the official booking. Cancellations more than 2 weeks prior to party date will be given a complete refund except for a $100.00 set-up fee. Cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to party will be charged 50% of full service up until 2 days prior to date in which there will be no refund.
Final Payment
All final payments must be made at least 2 weeks prior to your party date. Refunds will not be given for any cancellations 2 days prior or less to the party, unless medical documentation from a licensed physician, unrelated to any of the guests, is received.
Please be aware that there are contraindications for Massage Therapy sessions and for additional services. Forms which includes a Medical History are required. We ask that these be returned at least 2 weeks prior to your party so that we may properly accommodate all of your guests. We cannot be responsible for any cancellation of services due to a lack of a proper medical history prior to the sessions.
Mobile Spa Party and Event Policies
Hands On HealthCare Massage Therapy, P.C. will hereby referred to as “Hands On Mobile Spa.”
*All packages and services must be purchased in advance *Hands On Mobile Spa does NOT issue refunds. All reservations or sales are final. *Your event is not considered guaranteed/booked until a deposit is received. *A non-refundable deposit and credit card information, is required to reserve all dates/times, insure any incidentals, cover outstanding balances, and complete your contract information. *Hands On Mobile Spa accepts cash, checks MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover and bank debit cards. *Credit card on record is required regardless of your final payment method (including cash, check or certified check). *Balances in full are due 2 weeks or 14 business days in advance of your event date and are automatically charged to the credit card on record, unless other payment options are agreed upon in writing. *Event packages, services and number of guests may NOT be lowered or withdrawn; however, you may upgrade anything and additions may be purchased prior to, or at, your final balance due date. *A 10% rush charge applies to any package or service that is added or upgraded after your final headcount date. *All group events require a 50% non-refundable deposit of your minimum reservation or $300, whichever is greater. *A $35 fee will be charged for any returned checks and the final outstanding payment will then be charged to the credit card on record. *Any cancellations, deletions of packages and/or services, and changes in date or time after your final balance date will not be refunded nor rescheduled without additional fees. *Hands On Mobile Spa is not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged goods to any property or clients *Any applicable state tax has been included in our pricing. *Depending on the logistics of your event, travel mileage, time, tolls and parking may also be additional. Some locations & custom times may be higher.
Individual Services: Entire payment is due in full at time of purchase. All sales are final. 72hr reschedule notice.
A La Carte Services By the Hour Group Event: Your non-refundable deposit secures JUST the staff for your date and time, and does NOT include an entire spa party or anything in the Complete All-Inclusive Packages.
Emergencies

No refund or rescheduling option will be granted. Please contact our office as soon as possible in the event of ANY emergency, so we may follow the proper procedures for rescheduling.
Pre-Cautions
There are some medical conditions that are not compatible with spa treatments such as:
-serious cardiac conditions
-blood clots
-skin disease
-wounds
-tumors
-cancer and
-tuberculosis
-fever
-fractures or dislocations.
Please consult with your physician regarding any medical concerns prior to your spa services. Any person with a serious/chronic medical condition and pregnant women, at any stage in the pregnancy, should consult with their healthcare professional to ensure that they can participate in Hands On Mobile Spa Services. Please advise Hands On Mobile Spa of ANY chronic medical condition in advance of your event and supply the appropriate permission statement, if we request one. Those who fail to do so, will be denied services.
Your Personal Information
We never use or share personally identifiable information. We will never sell, lease, or rent any personally identifiable information about you or your business to any third party. Only with your written consent, we will release any medical records that are requested.
