Self Massage Tips – Hands

It may seem surprising that people carry so much tension in their hands, but it’s quite obvious when you think that we use our hands constantly. Most of our movements are holding, clutching actions, so it is very relaxing to counteract these by opening the palm and pulling the fingers.

Interlace your fingers, palms facing each other.  With the left thumb, press the center of the right palm and hold for 15 seconds.  Then thumb across the palm, surveying the entire palm for sensitive areas.  Apply circular pressure to areas for 15 seconds.  Repeat for left hand. Going back to the right hand, pull, squeeze and stretch each finger. Repeat for left.
