Focus Areas: You’ll be asked if there are any specific areas, such as your lower back, where you’d like the therapist to focus.
Massage Therapy for a Specific Condition
In-Depth Medical History: A thorough discussion of your medical history, current medications, and the reason you’re seeking massage therapy will be conducted.
Insurance Details: If applicable, your insurance information will be collected.
Range of Motion Evaluation: If necessary, a Range of Motion evaluation will be performed.
Personalized Treatment Plan: A customized treatment plan will be created, tailored specifically to your needs.
During Individual Sessions
Progress Check: We will discuss how you’re feeling, your progress, and any changes since your last session.
Comfort and Relaxation: You’ll relax on the massage table, covered with a fresh sheet and blanket. You’ll be draped at all times, except for the area being worked on. If you feel uncomfortable at any point, please let your therapist know.
Pleasant Environment: The room’s temperature, lighting, and noise level will be kept comfortable for you.
Comfort Level: The massage will always be within your comfort zone. If we’re performing Deep Tissue or trigger point therapy, and it may cause mild discomfort, we will inform you beforehand.
Therapist Communication: If necessary, the therapist may discuss their findings during the massage, but most discussions will happen afterward.
Your Feedback Matters: Remember, you know your body best. If anything feels uncomfortable, let your therapist know right away.
Post-Massage: After the session, the therapist will leave the room so you can change in private. It’s important to get up slowly, as massages can sometimes cause light-headedness. Once you’re ready, we’ll discuss your session, follow-up care, and your treatment plan.
What to Expect in Couples and Spa Party Massage Sessions
- Medical History Review: We will carefully discuss your medical history, current medications, and the reason you’re seeking massage therapy before the session begins.
- Comfort and Relaxation: You’ll relax on the massage table, covered with a fresh sheet and blanket. Let your therapist know immediately if you feel uncomfortable at any point.
- Warm Draping: You will be comfortably draped at all times, with only the specific area being worked on uncovered.
- Customized Comfort: Our signature relaxation massage is designed for comfort, with a similar approach for each person. You may request deeper pressure, but if you have specific concerns that require focused attention, we suggest booking separate rooms for individualized care.
- Quiet and Tranquil: To maintain a peaceful environment, there will be no talking or discussions during the session, allowing both individuals to fully relax without disturbance.
- Post-Session Care: After your massage, the therapist will step out so you can change in privacy. Take your time getting up, as massage may cause light-headedness. Be sure to reorient yourself before moving on with your day.
After Your Massage Therapy Session
- Stay Hydrated: It’s recommended to drink extra fluids, avoiding caffeine and alcohol. Staying hydrated helps extend the benefits of the massage by keeping your muscles relaxed and aiding in the elimination of toxins released during the session.
- Post-Session Effects: Since massage therapy involves working the muscles, it may feel like a workout. It’s not uncommon to experience mild soreness afterward.
- Minimize Soreness: Proper hydration can help reduce post-session soreness. Keep in mind that mild soreness is different from pain or achiness.
- Report Any Pain: If you experience significant aches or pain following your massage, report it to your doctor immediately.
